HALAL Reviews is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated exclusively to advancing Halal scholarship through an interdisciplinary lens. The journal serves as a leading platform for disseminating high-quality, original research that critically examines Halal principles, practices, and challenges across diverse fields of knowledge. Rather than confining Halal research to a single discipline, HALAL Reviews actively integrates perspectives from food science, medicine, cosmeceutical science, natural sciences, and marketing to produce a more holistic understanding of the Halal industry. By fostering genuine cross-disciplinary collaboration, the journal aims to bridge the gap between academic research and industry practice, positioning Halal studies as a unified field of inquiry rather than a set of disconnected disciplinary concerns.

Scope

HALAL Reviews welcomes original research articles, reviews, case studies, short communications, and book reviews that advance interdisciplinary understanding of Halal-related issues. All submissions must engage substantively with Halal as a central concern — whether from a scientific, ethical, regulatory, or industry-based perspective. Key areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Cosmeceutical Science — Halal-certified cosmetics and personal care products.

The journal particularly encourages submissions that draw connections across these disciplines — for example, work that combines scientific analysis with regulatory or ethical dimensions of Halal certification, or that examines the intersection of Halal science and market behavior.
